Jesse B. Smelson founded Absolute Electrical Contracting & Design in 2012 with a simple mission: deliver honest, certified electrical work to Long Island homeowners and businesses. Starting from Westbury, Jesse built a company known for doing the job right, licensed, insured, OSHA-certified, and backed by factory-trained expertise.
Over the years, the industry evolved, and Jesse made sure his team stayed ahead. Generac generators, EVcharging infrastructure,battery storage systems, and smart energy solutions became core specialties alongside the full-service electrical work Absolute was already known for.
Today, that same team and those same standards are moving forward under a new name: IllumiGEN. The rebrand reflects where the industry is heading and where Jesse has always been focused, powering Long Island’s future with reliable, forward-thinking energy solutions.
